Poet

Many creative writers, for reasons best know to themselves, prefer not to be exposed to the glare of publicity. They want to avoid the public eye by writing under a pseudonym. Some of them also refuse to be acknowledged for their work. Such work is then distributed with the author listed as anonymous. It could be that a piece of writing was discovered without an author's name on it. Or, it could be that, after a lapse of time, people forget that these poets wanted to remain anonymous and simply say the authors are unknown.
